Europuls Training Event for YEUF Project in Romania
On Friday, 15th of December, our YEUF project partner in Romania, Europuls, held a training session for 33 pupils representatives from all over Romania about the EU institutions and the manner in which they function: „How does EU work?” in Bucharest.
As part of the YEUF project, Europuls is raising awareness about how EU institutions function and to inform young people about the upcoming elections. In this respect, after offering them information, Europuls guided the participants in a simulation for the participants to understand how an initiative is created. Participants split into groups representing EU institutions and youth organizations in trying to advocate for the initiative „Vote at 16 years old”.
What happened afterwards? They negotiated, brough arguments and in the end adopted the possibility for young people to vote at 16 years old in the upcoming elections.
